Chris has served in ministry here in Alabama, in Seattle as a church planter, and in Nashville. The Lord called him to serve as pastor here at Riverside in February of 2016.
Chris and Meredith have come to Riverside with a joy and delight for God and his church that is evident to all. They are resolutely committed to the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ and making disciples. We rejoice in having them as part of our fellowship.

Kima Fanai, Worship Pastor
Kima was born on September 27, 1971 in Mizoram, India. Kima came to know the Lord following a youth camp at the age of 16. Kima served in YWAM as a mission and worship leader for 9 years all over Europe and Asia and parts of India. It was during his first year in YWAM that God called Kima to be a worship leader. God led him through YWAM to develop his calling and obtain further musical training at the School for Music and Missions in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
After his time in YWAM, Kima moved to the United States and served the local church through worship and youth ministry. In 2008, God led Kima to Seattle, Washington where he met and married his wife, Jeanette Southworth, in September of 2010. In September of 2014, Kima and his wife moved back to Alabama where they joined the Riverside family. Kima has served as Worship Pastor and they count it a joy to be serving the body of Christ at Riverside.
Kima’s desire is to serve the Lord with his spiritual gifts by leading a worship ministry that brings glory to God. He believes that a gospel centered worship ministry should display that they are just vessels used to motivate the congregation to join together into one heart of worship. He believes we are called to first live out the gospel in our own lives and then to create a culture of the gospel that shines so others can see it.
